The image was created for E&S by motion-graphics designer Ryan Luse. But that’s not all it is. In keeping with the issue’s theme—noise, and finding the signal within the noise — we’ve hidden a signal on the cover as well. It is, appropriately enough, the word noise. Can you find it?
